Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners has a statewide resource sharing plan, aimed at introducing a Douglas County-style ebook lending platform for Massachusetts libraries (not just public libraries, but also academic, school and special libraries). The plan was approved in October 2012, and a proof of concept is expected to be launched in May 2013.
